We are seeking a highly skilled Cathodic Protection Technician with 4-5 years of experience and NACE Level 2 certification to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining cathodic protection systems for a variety of structures and equipment to prevent corrosion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and maintain cathodic protection systems for various structures and equipment, including pipelines, storage tanks, and offshore platforms.
- Perform regular inspections of cathodic protection systems to ensure they are functioning properly and making necessary repairs as needed.
- Conduct surveys to assess the effectiveness of existing cathodic protection systems and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of cathodic protection measures.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all cathodic protection activities, including test results, inspections, and repairs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and standards related to cathodic protection and corrosion prevention.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in cathodic protection and corrosion prevention.
- NACE Level 2 certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of cathodic protection design, installation, testing, and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to cathodic protection and corrosion prevention.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
