- Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents
- Update existing data and keeping accurate records pertaining to inventory and account notes
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
- Monitor the day to day financial operations within the company, such as invoicing stock, cash float and other transaction
- Insert customer and account data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
- Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
- Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes.
