The successful applicant will join our thriving family owned business. We specialise in the tiling, flooring and bathroom industry and are proud to offer high quality products to both retail and trade. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as a retail and trade sales adviser, part of your duties will also be to assist in ensuring that the warehouse is well managed, deliveries dealt with and orders are picked and delivered in a timely manner.
Part of your role will involve occasional deliveries to customers so a full, clean driving licence is essential.
You will also assist in the day to day running of the shop and warehouse, selling tiles, flooring and other accessories. You will inspire customers to design their perfect project, communicating effectively with all kinds of people to build a rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
You will learn quickly and we can offer training on the job to improve your skills and in our software.

The successful candidate will have a customer focused approach and be friendly, courteous and professional. Ideally you will have previous retail experience, experience within the tile or bathroom industry would be a bonus. The following attributes are requirements of the job:
- The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Quick to learn.
- Confident and effective at providing information and guidance to customers.
- A strong knowledge of the product lines either from previous experience or be willing to learn and keep up to date with current trends and new ranges.
- Take pride in the presentation of the shop and warehouse area.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- An ability to organise and prioritise work with a strong attention to detail.
- IT knowledge of all usual Microsoft products and good, basic maths skills.
Candidates with the following attributes will be prioritised, but training can be given:
- Experience driving a forklift.
- Knowledge of bathrooms, tiling and tiling accessories.
- Knowledge or familiarity with Virtual Worlds software.
You will be required to work holiday and sickness some of the time in our sister shop in Falmouth, times and dates to be discussed.
As a small team we all muck in where needed to help each other out, you might be painting a wall one day or helping a customer design a feature wall the next.
Once we are confident you can work on your own this job will also involve working every other Saturday mornings. You will be flexible in hours and duties as required by a small business. Cover will be required for sick and holiday leave.
The job involves some heavy lifting of bulky items, assisting customers loading their vehicles and standing or walking for long periods of time if the showroom is busy.
