Customer Assistance Warranty Services, Warranty Management North Europe, is opening a temporary
position for a Technical Support Engineer.
Preferred location is Vaasa, Finland
As Technical Support Engineer you will work closely with warranty management functions and other
stakeholders to secure prompt resolution of warranty related issues. The role also requires close and
professional customer interaction to ensure quality improvement and implementation based on client
claims and via technical input or expertise. Technical knowledge of products is required in this role.
You are a person who is proactive, service minded and can work under pressure independently and
in team.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical warranty related issues
- Secure corrective actions in a timely manner
- Trigger root cause analysis and solution development
- Follow Wärtsilä business ethics and rules
- Constantly share lessons learned with team members and other stakeholder to improve the overall
performance
Requirements
- MSc or BSc in engineering
- Engine product knowledge
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Contractual and commercial knowledge
- Cultural awareness
- Database experience e.g. online-tools and SAP is required
