Role Overview

Production Supervisor: Creates a working environment that continuously improves the Health and Safety of workers, including identification and management of occupational risk, provision of information and training, review of performance and provision of sufficient resources to maintain an effective H&S program

Manages an deploys the processes and standards with embedded quality into the way of working including adherence to compliance with safety, regulatory- and environmental requirements as well as local laws , Philips General Business principles and other policies

Accountable for the preparation and execution of one or more manufacturing production processes to deliver safe, compliant, quality products and services to our customers. This can be both in-house as outsources activities.

Leads the production unit, related processes and staff in the execution of activities that lead to world-class operational performance.

Ensures manufacturing performance, volume, quality and cost goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.

Identifies production capacity bottlenecks regarding own resources proactively and manages external (specialized) production capacity.

Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials including preparation of investment plans.

Executes and/or support projects, goals, and metrics and drive continues improvement efforts.

Initiates/sponsors production dominated improvement projects. Represents production function in cross-functional projects.

Is responsible for performance feedback cycle and recruiting process of competence group. Increases technical knowledge of the team via

facilitating knowledge transfer (e.g. mentorship, coaching)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times. Initiates safety improvements and is responsible for safety within their work field. Supports the surveillance and improvements for environmental, health and safety projects
  • Ensure Quality Policy and GMP Guidelines are followed at all times, ensure all procedures utilized in manufacturing environment are current and up to date, track employee attendance and training records on a daily basis, train employees in new documents or updates as required. Conducts NCR evaluation and follow up processes from beginning to end
  • Plan and schedule tasks so that production assigned is completed on time. Prioritize production order sequences based on schedules, makes recommendations regarding staffing, properly balances staffing per production area. Prepares financial forecasts and annual operating plan
  • Owner of efficiency and productivity KPIs, improves efficiency and productivity by finding new ways to organize the work. Propose feasible process changes to foster optimization of resources. Create cost related projects to improve operations performance. Creates tools for the operations leaders and operators to facilitate decisions on manufacturing. Foster follow up and improvement on DPMOs. Responsible for continuous improvement in the areas of responsibility, cost of non-quality and equipment utilization rates. Ensure work instructions and tools are compliant to specifications. Collaborates in implementation of NPI and Lean projects
  • Mentor and guides the operations / manufacturing leaders to follow up on daily performance of the production line, establishes KPIs and tools for hourly and daily performance checks, including follow up actions
  • Communicate direct employee expected behaviors regarding company policy, hour to hour completions and deliverables, quality, yield and clean room practices. Write and deliver employee performance reviews
  • Understand and effectively transmits vital information regarding manufacturing policies and company communications, communicate effectively with management and other support teams
  • Define and manages WIP inventories level, establish the methodology to ensure materials availability, manufacturing continuity and avoid/prevent line down situations. For line down situations communicate the situation to stake holders to take actions, provides follow up on actions

Requirements

  • Intermediate/Advanced English Level
  • Bachelor degree in Industrial or Production Engineering, Administration or a combination of equivalent job experience in related field.
  • +2 years of experience in Supervisory or Engineering roles for Operations or other departments
  • MS Office skills (computer literacy)
  • Onsite
  • Shift B: Monday thru Friday 3:36 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Preferred

  • ISO13485 Training
  • Production and Inventory Management training
  • Green or Black Belt Certification or Training
